Bequest to Support Care at AJH

Lois Anderson, RN, (1937-2016) spent her career caring for others. She first was a house mother at Governor Dummer Academy, where she guided spirited young students. One of them was the future Anna Jaques doctor Paul Freedberg (pictured here with Lois). Later she put her degrees in nursing and education to work at AJH for more than 40 years. She directed nursing in the emergency department and was instrumental in establishing the pre-admission and testing department.

Lois took pride in providing comfort to those in her care. Her bequest will help AJH continue to provide outstanding, well-trained nurses to care for its patients.
